Cat Problems - My 1Year Old Cat has Frequently Started Vomiting and is Not Growing

by Madiha
(Karachi, Pakistan)

I have cat problems with my one year old cat who has start vomiting daily. He is eating properly but his health seems poor, he seems weak, he's not growing and has too much hair fall.

Reply from Liz (Editor): I'm not a vet, so it's really difficult for me to suggest what could be causing this, but from what you've said unfortunately it sounds worrying.

Cat vomiting can be a sign of many different illnesses. Occasional vomiting isn't a problem, but when it's happening daily that does suggest an underlying problem.

What do you feed your cat? Is he eating something that could be upsetting his stomach?

Hair loss could be due to a parasitic infection, an allergy, other diseases or a lack of certain nutrients in the diet.

The fact that he's eating well is a good sign.

I appreciate it may be very difficult for you to get him to a vet, but if it is possible that would be the best thing you could do.

Thank you for your question and best of luck - I really hope he's OK.
