Names for Kittens Ideas - Speedy

When trying to think of names for kittens, on the first day we got ours he was running round everywhere and was really fast...

...so we called him Speedy!

We have just gotten 3 kittens. Each of the kids was trying to name their kitten, when one of them came up with Cookies, Cream and Blizzard. One kitten is black & white (Cookie) one is soft grey (Cream) one is white (Blizzard).

This sparked a brain storming session of 3 word phrases. The same child came up with a line in a song I used to sing to them when they were little.

We haven't made a final decision yet.


Reply from Liz (Editor): Naming 3 kittens at once must be tough, I've only ever named two at the same time and that took me ages to decide. I think it's hard because you want the names to sound good together as well as separately. It's great fun though isn't it - especially when kids are involved (as long as you can avoid any major arguments!)

Reply from Liz (Editor): This is a lovely name. One of my friends has a little black cat called Starr (she spells it with two r's for some reason!) but her logic behind the name was the same as yours.

My daughter came up with this name. It took me about 2 weeks to remember her kittens name! We have now had her for 12 years and sometimes call her fat cat. When she runs to us all her flubber just jiggles back and forth! When my daughter is away at school, she has informed us that we are to tell her what a pretty kitty she is so as to not give her a complex!

I know exactly what you mean about a jiggling tummy on a cat swinging backwards and forwards when they run (thinking of my own cats here..!) Kind of dispels the myth of some sleek, streamlined, stealthy creature lol...
